This essential oil has anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties that help ease feelings of anxiety and anxiousness. Ginger is also known for being used topically for muscle aches and joint pain.
Ginger essential oil, originally from India and China, is steam distilled from the root of the ginger plant (Zingiber officinale). Ginger has traditionally been used to combat nausea. Aside from it being used as an anti-nausea treatment, ginger oil is also considered beneficial as an antiseptic in killing bacteria and as an anti-inflammatory in treating muscle aches, arthritis, and migraines.
Two antioxidant components of ginger oil are also thought to help fight certain cancers including skin cancer. Ginger oil is also used as a natural aphrodisiac.
